Bringing Hope, Education, and the Gospel to Kenya

Kenya continues to be a powerful mission field where the Gospel is transforming lives through faithful leadership, compassion, and perseverance. Holy Spirit Ministries International is honored to partner with local pastors and ministries who are serving their communities with dedication and love.

Our Work in Kenya

Pastors Steven & John Olwanda

HSMI supports the work of Pastor Steven Olwanda, who leads Dayspring Bible Ministry alongside his brother, John. Together, they faithfully shepherd a growing church while ministering to both spiritual and practical needs within their community.

Though the church has faced challenges — including periods of resistance and limited government support — the work continues to grow as lives are changed through the Gospel.

Education & Children's Outreach

Children's outreach event

One of the most impactful initiatives in Kenya focuses on helping children access education. In many areas, children are required to wear school uniforms in order to attend school, but many families cannot afford them.

Through partnership and support:

  • Children are provided with school uniforms

  • Students are given the opportunity to attend school

  • Families experience tangible expressions of God’s love

This outreach opens doors not only for education, but also for discipleship and long-term transformation.

Partnering Ministries

HSMI also partners with Yasha Ministries, an outreach extending its reach throughout Africa.

Yasha Ministries is led by Wilco and Lydia Venter, native South Africans who answered God’s call to Kenya after being born again. Their obedience led them to serve in Lomolo, Kenya, where they ministered faithfully and adopted local children as part of their family.

While they have recently returned to South Africa to plant ministry there, the fruit of their work in Kenya continues to impact lives.

Why Kenya Matters?

The work in Kenya is a testimony to what God can do through faithfulness and compassion. Through local churches, children’s outreach, and ministry partnerships, the Gospel is being preached, lives are being restored, and hope is being released into communities.
